It’s WWW Wednesday’s time! What did I recently finish reading? What am I currently reading? And what do I want to read next? In last weeks WWW Wednesday, I told you about my troublesome start of November and how I was enjoying re-reads of a favorite series of mine: Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh.

There were a couple of reads I was looking forward to. Curious to know if I found the time to read them? I’ll tell you all about my reading week in this WWW Wednesdays article!

I came across this WWW Wednesdays article at KarenJo’s blog recently and decided I’d really like to participate in this bookish meme as well. This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The idea behind this meme is to answer these three questions every Wednesday;

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

That way I can share my latest updates on my reading-stats in a nice way. I’m really excited to participate in this weekly meme, so here we go!

I ended up finishing 4 books since last week’s WWW article. 3 of them were re-reads haha. I’ve finished book 2,3 and 4 of the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh, which is one of my all-time favorite series and favorite author.

And I finally received my copy of Lauren Kaye’s latest release of Ride Wild, the third book in the Raven Riders series and a book I highly anticipated. I got to know Lauren Kaye by reading a short story of her; Hearts in Darkness and it blew my freaking mind. Not soon after, I read the complete Hard Ink series by Laura which became one of my favorite reads. I loved the military elements, tattoo shop elements, adult romance, action and amazing writing. And then she started writing on Raven Riders, a spin-off series of Hard Ink. This series is about bikers and I may love this series even more than Hard Ink haha. I devoured book 1 and 2 and I was craving this third book sooo much! The main characters in this book stole my heart right away in book 1 when they were present as minor characters. And I ended up giving this book a 5 star rating. I think it’s the best book in the series so far! Can’t wait for book 4!

I’m still reading Furyborn by Claire Legrand in between other books. I really like the story so far, but my concentration is lacking often lately, so it’s sometimes hard to maintain my focus. The writing is really great, but it needs 100% concentration when reading because of the set-up of this book so I’m not going nearly as fast as I’d like to go with this book, but that’s okay.. I’ll just read whenever I feel like it and don’t put any pressure on it.

I’m still doing re-reads of the Guild Hunter series books by Nalini Singh and I’ve just finished Archangel’s Blade, book four in the series. And since I’m away on vacation now and forgot to pack up book 5, I can’t continue with the series until I’m back home again haha – fail.

But I packed up a couple of other books – ROAR by Cora Carmack and the Empress by S.J. Kincaid as well as my kindle – so there was more then enough I could choose from. I decided on starting with the Empress by S.J. Kincaid, the sequel to the Diabolic. I loved the Diabolic and was really excited to hear there’d be a sequel, so as soon as possible, I put in a pre-order for this book. I’ve only just started it, so I can’t say much about it, but I’m really excited to see what this sequel is all about.

I’m also still reading Phobos3 by Victor Dixen, which I recently received from the Dutch publisher. I’ve devoured the first two books and was esthatic to start reading the third book, especially after that ENDING of book 2, damn. Just as with the previous books, the pace is fast which amped up my reading pace as well. I was halfway through with it after a couple of hours, because I just couldn’t stop reading. But I haven’t read in a couple of days so I still need to finish the last 15% I think? Can’t wait to see how everything is going down in this third installment.

Well, I definitely want to continue my re-read of the Guild Hunter books, so I can word towards reading Nalini’s latest release in the series which I haven’t read yet right after the re-reads. And I hopefully finish the Empress by next week.

I receive e-arcs on a regular basis and like to combine reading them with reading my own bought books. And some I really want to ‘dive into’  asap are:

  • Tell me & Show me by Abigail Strom
  • All the wrong Chords by Christine Hurley Deriso

So, that’s what I’ve been up to reading-wise and how I foresee the nearby future to be.
