It’s time for a new sneak peeks in my endless TBR stack in this TBR THURSDAY article! In last weeks edition, I showed you guys two books that have been on my shelves unread for quite a while now but I’m very excited about to reading. Today I picked two TBR books that have been on my shelves even longer haha.

In this article – which I want to publish every Thursday – I’ll be highlighting a title from my shelf (or eReader) I haven’t read yet and I’m going to ask you guys what you think about it … Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf?

I was looking for a new book meme article to post every Thursday and this one looked really nice. I love writing interactive articles in which you guys can leave comments and I’m really excited to read your comments about the books I’m going to show you in my TBR Thursday articles!

The first two book I want to show you are ones I’ve had on my shelves ever since both releases: THE WITCH’S KISS & THE WITCH’S TEARS by Katharine & Elizabeth Corr

Sixteen-year-old Meredith is fed-up with her feuding family and feeling invisible at school – not to mention the witch magic that shoots out of her fingernails when she’s stressed. Then sweet, sensitive Jack comes into her life and she falls for him hard. The only problem is that he is periodically possessed by a destructive centuries-old curse. Meredith has lost her heart, but will she also lose her life? Or in true fairytale tradition, can true love’s kiss save the day?

I was so excited about the Witch’s Kiss before it’s release so I was determined to pre-order it at the time. That was in June 2016 – oops. Still thinking I’d start reading it soon, I also put in a pre-order for its sequel, the Witch’s Tears. If there’s a sequel available I always like to have it so I can binge-read – however, nowadays I try to only buy the first books of new series to see if I even want to buy the second book. And now it’s December 2017 and both books are still UNREAD. Shame on me…

I love reading about magic and witches, but I do have to be in the ‘right mood’ for those topics you know? And there were always other books coming in between so I often kind of forget about this series, oops. Book three, the Witch’s Blood is due to release on March 8th, 2018, so I guess I’ll just wait until then, buy the third book and binge-read the trilogy, lol. And if it’s not for me, I’ll be able to sell off the whole trilogy easier as when I’d have only the first two books, I guess.

Then there’s also this trilogy: THE WOLVES OF MERCY FALLS by Maggie Stiefvater

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can’t seem to live without.

Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human… until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It’s her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

I bought this 2 years ago when I picked up reading YA a bit more, determined to read it soon. But somehow I just wasn’t up for a werewolf read so this series was pushed back. And now, two years later, it’s still on my shelves unread – epic fail. I’ve heard mixed things about the books. I still think I’d like them so I AM planning on reading them someday.

Have you read any of the books I’ve shown? LOVE to hear from you!!

  • Name a title that’s been on your TBR for ages now, that you’ve wanted to read badly but just haven’t gotten around to reading yet.
