| PERSONAL | Bookish Bucket List

I recently shared my Bucket List 2.0 with you guys and already announced there was going to be a Bookish Bucket list article as well. Today’s the day! haha.

I’ve definitely got several bookish dreams I’d hopefully someday see fulfilled. From meeting Authors to blogish things as well, there’s quite a list as you can imagine. And I thought it would be fun to share my bookish dreams/bucket list with you guys.  so here we go!

#YALfest 2017 rocked! With Kaylee, Kwante and Adinda ♥ April ’17

Since becoming a full-time fangirl – there was a time in my life I didn’t read a lot until a couple of years ago when I started reading more again – I got so many new dreams I’d love to fulfill someday. Meeting favorite authors for example… Looking back, I never thought I’d be able to meet up with favorite authors of mine. Never thought I’d get the chance to tell them in person what their writing and books mean to me. But the last 1,5 years showed me dreams Do come true sometimes. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many awesome bookish people, readers, and authors, and I’m very very thankful for that. That’s one of the reasons why I love being a member of the book community. It can be such a wonderful and joyful ‘place’. It’s amazing to share your love for books with other people, there isn’t anything like it ♥

Meeting Jennifer L. Armentrout!!! with Candyce, Kwante and Isabelle ♥ October ’17

I met so many new people in the last couple of years and some of them have become Real friends to me, for which I’m very thankful. And aside from finding new friends and fellow-readers, I also had the opportunity to meet up with several authors who were on my meeting-bucket-list. For example, I’ve sat down for 1,5 hours with NY best-seller Mary E. Pearson, had the opportunity to interview Jennifer L. Armentrout and Sophie Jackson in person, got to meet Julie Kagawa and flew to London to meet ‘Queen’ Sarah J. Maas. And this is only some of the meet & greets I got to do in the last couple of years. Some of it was thanks to being a book blogger – ever since I started blogging there have been several awesome opportunities made available for me and I’m so very thankful for Publishers making things like meet&greets/interviews and such happening – and some of it was just due to sheer luck haha. Bottom line: I’m so thankful I already got to make so many beautiful memories and having dreams like these come true – I’m currently working on my Author Meet & Greets of 2017 article, which will go online soon.

When I was writing down my bookish bucket list a couple of years ago I just never thought I could Actually check off some of the things I’d wanted to do, but I did which is just so incredibly awesome. I’m so excited for what’s to come in the next years when it comes down to meeting new people/authors. I’ll tell you more about my meet & greets of 2017 soon, so this article won’t become too long haha. Author meet & greets on my bucket list – the ones that are crossed off.. well, that speaks for itself I guess? haha:

  • Cassandra Clare, author of the Shadowhunter Chronicles
  • Sarah J. Maas, author of Throne of Glass and the A Court of.. series

So, these are some of the authors I’d love love loveeee to meet someday. And the ones that are crossed, are ones I’ve already met, but I’d love it if I’d be able to meet them again someday. I’ve made so many beautiful memories meeting these authors and I’m very hopeful to meet at least a couple more favorites in the future.

Authors I’ve already had the pleasure of Interviewing. Click on the Image and you’ll be redirected to the Q&A page.

Aside from meeting authors in real life, I also really like doing interviews with them. Since a lot of them live in the States and Australie, the UK and such it’s almost impossible for me to do an in-person interview with them. I’ve been lucky that some Dutch publishers brought a couple of international authors over here, but truth is that most of them probably won’t ever come to the Netherlands. But thank godddd for the Internet, Social Media and e-mail haha. Thanks to that I’ve been able to already do some great Q&A’s with favorite authors of mine and I really hope to add a lot more Q&A’s to my blog in the future. Some of the authors that are on the top of my Q&A-bucket list right now are:

  • Jennifer Rush, author of Devils and Thieves
  • Anna Banks, author of the Syrena Legacy and Nemesis
  • Amelia Hutchins, author of the Fae Chronicles
  • Amanda Bouchet, author of the Kingmaker Chronicles
  • K.A. Tucker, author of the Ten Tiny Breaths and Burying Water series
  • Gena Showalter, author of the Lords of the Underworlds series and much more
  • Cassandra Clare, author of the Shadowhunter Chronicles
  • Laini Taylor, author of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy and Strange the Dreamer
  • Rebecca Yarros 2.0!

It was really fun writing everything down in this article and see all of my bookish dreams together and even some of them already checked off. There’ll probably be more added to my bookish bucket list over time, but for now, I’m pretty happy with my list so far. I’m really curious to see how it looks in a couple of years. How many and which things I was able to check off over time.

Do you have a Bookish Bucket List? What are some of your bookish dreams?
