Ahh it’s time for TBR Thursday!
In this article – which I want to write every Thursday – I’ll be highlighting a title from my shelf (or eReader) I haven’t read yet and I’m going to ask you guys what you think about it … Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf?
I was looking for a new book meme article to post every Thursday and this one looked really nice. I love writing interactive articles in which you guys can leave comments and I’m really excited to read your comments about the books I’m going to show you in my TBR Thursday articles!
And the two books I’ve decided to show today are ones I’m so excited for!! One is a Young adult contemporary romance I’ve been looking forward to for ages and released very recently and the other one is a new adult contemporary romance with time travel elements which also released very recently… Let’s start, shall we?
In last weeks TBR Thursday I shared my currently reading stats and a list of books I want to read in the nearby future. Some of them, I’ve read in the past week already and the other one’s are still waiting to be read. The two books I want to talk about today are on that ASAP tbr list as well now and I want to read them very soon!
The first one: IF THERE’S NO TOMORROW BY JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
I’ve been looking forward for this book to arrive for ages. So as soon as it was possible, I pre-ordered this book – the signed edition package – and I received it yesterday evening, YESSS. It’s sooo beautiful, damn! And the signature of Jennifer makes the book even more precious to me now.
Lena Wise is always looking forward to tomorrow, especially at the start of her senior year. She’s ready to pack in as much friend time as possible, to finish college applications and to maybe let her childhood best friend Sebastian know how she really feels about him. For Lena, the upcoming year is going to be epic—one of opportunities and chances.
Until one choice, one moment, destroys everything.
Now Lena isn’t looking forward to tomorrow. Not when friend time may never be the same. Not when college applications feel all but impossible. Not when Sebastian might never forgive her for what happened.
For what she let happen.
With the guilt growing each day, Lena knows that her only hope is to move on. But how can she move on when her and her friends’ entire existences have been redefined? How can she move on when tomorrow isn’t even guaranteed?
This is a beautiful addition to my Armentrout collection! But aside from the looks, the inside of the books sounds really promising as well! From really enthusiastic quotes about this book from Sarah J. Maas and Christina Lauren for example to the mysteriously sounding synopsis.. This book has already got it’s claws around me. Everything I’ve read about the book so far, have been positive things. I’m really excited to start it and I’m planning on starting it very soon! Jennifer is coming to the Netherlands next month and of course I’ll be going to the event and on top of that I’m one of the lucky bloggers who got invited to interview her – OMFG.. you can probably imagine my major fangirl rant that happened when I heard this amazing news. I’m still smiling and my heart is still doing little jumps hihi- and I can’t go tho that interview without having read this book hehehe.
The second book: DRIFT BY AMY MURRAY
I read a Facebook post of this author a while back when she was working on the cover and when I read the synopsis of this book back then, it immediately got my attention. First off it’s published by Entangled and I adoooore that publisher. And like I said; the synopsis got to me. It sounded really good.
I’m not crazy. My mother may have died with everyone believing she was insane, but I refuse to accept that as my fate. Even if I am recalling memories about a life I never lived. A life that includes the mysterious James—a guy I’ve only just met, but feel as if I’ve known all my life. The memories are coming hard and fast, and I’m falling down a rabbit hole with consequences that far exceed anything I could have ever imagined. And now, someone is trying to kill me.
Someone from my past who knows about my visions and is looking for something he believes I took from him. All I have to do is figure out how these memories relate to the present and maybe I’ll survive to live another day.
I read an exert of the book and wanted to start reading it right away – only it wasn’t possible since it wasn’t released yet, boohoo haha. So when I saw the author was doing a give-away on Facebook I decided to take my chances and leave a reply, because I was so excited for this book. And I won! bdgjhbdfgjbdfhjbgdfg Amy was so kind to even sent me a paperback – I was freaking out because in the end I love reading paperbacks more then e-books and it was really nice of her for taking the time and energy to sent it to me – accompanied with a really sweat card, signature in the book and a really beautiful bookmark with a beautiful quote on it – one of Amy’s favorite quotes. Safe to say I’m really excited about reading this book, so it’s on my ASAP tbr and you can expect an extended review very soon!
So that’s TBR Thursday for this week! I’m really excited for these two reads!
What’s on top of your TBR stack at the moment?
