|CONFESSIONS| I’m sharing my scandalously long list of Auto-Buy authors!

I’m sure almost every reader has at least one Auto-buy author, don’t you? An author who’s books you’d instantly buy without even knowing what the book’s about. Because you’re so in love with their writing style, you’ll already have faith in the fact that it’d be a wonderful read so you pre-order/buy it without giving it much thought. In the last couple of years I came across many authors of whom I want to buy all the books of without it bothering me if I didn’t know what the books are about. I just want everything on my shelves they’ve written and will write in the future.

  1. so I can support them by buying their books and I love seeing all of their books together on my shelves.
  2. because I just want to read all of the stories they’ve written!

The downside on having auto-buy authors could be that you get really high expectations when a new book comes out or if you buy an older book you still had to buy and read and you’re anticipating to. So there’s always a possibility of the book maybe being a bit disappointed when you’re expecting so much of a new read of a favorite author – but that chance is always there when you start a new book; it ending up being a disappointment but when it’s a book from a favorite author it’s a somewhat more sensitive subject haha. But so far, thankfully, I haven’t been disappointed yet when it comes to the following list of favorite authors. Authors of whom I want to buy every book of they’ve written so far and what they’ll publish in the future too. I still need to buy a lot of books from my favorites down here but one day… one day I have em all!

Amanda Bouchet, Amelia Hutchins, Nalini Singh, Gena Showalter

E.L. James, Sylvia Day, Jodi Ellen Malpas, Meredith Wild, Laurelin Paige

There are still more then enough books I need to buy/read from my auto-buy authors and I’m already looking forward for when I buy and read them. Aside from Gena Showalter’s paranormal romance books I really love her YA books as well – those I’ve read so far like First life and Lifeblood – and the YA books Abbi Glines wrote – the Field Party – as well. And I like Jennifer L. Armentrout’s YA,NA and romance books as well. I really like it when authors write different genres and with every genre still make you fall in love with their writing.

Do you love authors who write different genres and who are they?
Who are your auto-buy authors? Love to hear from you.

  2. I like this blogpost! I am not an instant author buyer (if that is a word, haha). But the books of Adam Silvera, V.E. Schwab and Leigh Bardugo always get my first attention when I am in a bookstore, and most of the time I also buy them, wheter I think I’ll like them or not.
